Echidna Wars DX is a 2D side-scrolling action game featuring pixel graphics, combat mechanics, and adult-themed monster encounters. Players control one of four female characters fighting against creatures that have invaded their city. The gameplay combines movement, jumping, regular attacks, special abilities, and boss battles. Story and Playable Characters

The story takes place in Ryonazawa City, which has been invaded by interdimensional creatures known as Echidna. Four heroines attempt to stop the invasion and defeat the monsters responsible. Mirea uses sword-based attacks, Sachiho specializes in martial arts and fire abilities, Usaco fights with ranged weapons, and TGO-07 is an android equipped with advanced combat equipment. The narrative is relatively simple, with most progression focused on battles.

Combat and Gameplay Mechanics

Players move through side-scrolling environments, defeat groups of enemies, and advance toward bosses. Each character has a health bar called HP and an energy bar called SP. Special attacks consume energy, while enemy grabs can reduce both resources. Players must escape restraints before their character is defeated.

Stages and Game Progression

Echidna Wars DX contains three main stages, each divided into smaller sections and ending with a boss encounter. Players progress through different enemy-filled environments while completing combat challenges. Five difficulty levels are available: Puki, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Chaos. Higher settings increase the challenge of enemy encounters. Completing the main game unlocks Free Battle Mode, where players can fight previously encountered monsters. Additional unlockable options include a gallery for reviewing animations and special configuration settings.
