Yandere Simulator is a third-person stealth and social simulation game where players control Ayano Aishi, a schoolgirl obsessed with a student named Taro Yamada, also known as Senpai. The main objective is to prevent other girls from developing romantic relationships with him. Yandere Simulator includes 202X Mode and 1980s Mode. The main storyline follows Ayano, while 1980s Mode follows her mother, Ryoba Aishi, as she eliminates ten rivals. Progression is organized into school weeks rather than conventional numbered levels. Each week introduces a rival and new objectives. The 1980s storyline includes multiple possible outcomes, including a special ending unlocked through specific actions. The main 202X storyline remains incomplete, with additional rivals and story events still being developed.
